This wine is a blend of 90% Syrah and 10% Carignan. The Syrah vines were
subject to a green harvest, to limit the
production to 30hl/ha. As for the Carignan, the 0.4ha produced only one barrique.
The wine is aged in French oak barrels to soften it...
The colour is dark purple. On the nose there are aromas of violets typical of the great Syrahs of the northern Côtes du Rhône...
The oak flavour is present but discreet. The tannins are well integrated and the vivacious character that comes from high-altitude vines gives the wine freshness and longevity.
It can be aged for ten years.
